The Southside Christian Sabres (Simpsonville, SC) football were winner over the host Palmetto Mustangs (Williamston, SC), 38-10 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Sabres face the St. Joseph's Catholic Knights (Greenville, SC) in a AAA Region 2 outing, on Friday, October 17. Southside Christian will attempt to move on its 2-5 season record. The Knights come into the outing with a 4-3 record after their 59-0 league win over Carolina Academy (Greenville, SC).

With the defeat, Palmetto drops to 1-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Powdersville (Greenville, SC) to clash with the Patriots in a AAA Region 2 outing on Friday, October 17.
