In Friday's league challenge, the host Poteet Pirates volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Seagoville Dragons.

The Pirates (28-11) will now prepare for their challenge against North Mesquite (Mesquite, TX). The Stallions come into the 5A Region II District 14 challenge with a 9-12 record. In their last challenge, North Mesquite was beaten by Wilson (Dallas, TX), 3-0, in a league challenge.
