University Hawks (Morgantown, WV) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Hawks face the Bridgeport Indians (Bridgeport, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, October 12. University will attempt to better on its 5-10 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 3-2 league win over Lincoln (Shinnston, WV).

The Knights now have a 5-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Fairmont for a Big Ten challenge on Thursday, October 13. Preston will face a Bees team coming off a 2-2 non-league Trinity Christian (Morgantown, WV). The Bees record now stands at 7-9.
