The Richard Montgomery Rockets (Rockville, MD) volleyball overcame the visiting Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons (Bethesda, MD), 3-0 in Tuesday's league outing.

With the win, Richard Montgomery upgrades its record to 7-4 on the year. The Rockets travel to Gaithersburg (Gaithersburg, MD) to face the Trojans in a Montgomery County 4A - West outing on Thursday, October 13. The Trojans go into the outing with a record of 1-0. Gaithersburg won 3-1 in their recent non-league outing against Walter Johnson (Bethesda, MD)

The Barons now own a 0-3 record.

Richard Montgomery Rockets won their second straight match and 6th overall this season by beating the regional rival Bethesda Chevy Chase in three sets - 25-19, 25-22, 25-22.
Sophomore middle/opposite Caroline Kaye, who finished with 7 kills, 1 block and 1 ace, registered her 100th kills as a Rocket, joining her MVSA club teammate, also sophomore Ema Djordjevic as the only other active hitter on the RM with triple digit kills in their HS career.?
Djordjevic, opposite/setter, had a really good night of her own, finishing with 13 kills on 16 attempts (.750 hitting %) and she is on the verge of getting to 100 kills this season alone - currently at 96, while she celebrated her 200th kills as a Rocket earlier this season vs. Magruder.
