New Mexico High School Volleyball - Raton over Clayton
October 11, 2022: Clayton, NM 88415 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Raton Tigers (Raton, NM) and the host Clayton Yellowjackets (Clayton, NM), saw Raton's volleyball squad beat Clayton by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Raton upgrades its record to 7-8 on the year. The Tigers travel to Santa Fe Prep (Santa Fe, NM) to play the Blue Griffins in a 3A District 2 bout on Saturday, October 15. The Blue Griffins go into the bout with a record of 4-10.
The Yellowjackets now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Santa Rosa for a 2A District 6 bout on Thursday, October 13. Clayton will play a Lions squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Pecos (Pecos, NM). The Lions record now stands at 15-3.
