In Wednesday's league contest, the Forreston Cardinals (Forreston, IL) volleyball squad nudged the host Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders (Ashton, IL), by a margin of 2-1.

Next up, the Cardinals face the Amboy Clippers (Amboy, IL) in a Northwest Upstate Illini contest, on Thursday, October 12. Forreston will attempt to better on its 11-16 season record. The Clippers go into the contest with a 2-16 record after their 2-1 league loss to Milledgeville (Milledgeville, IL).

With the loss, Ashton-Franklin Center moves to 4-15 on the year. The Raiders host Fulton (Fulton, IL) to face the Steamers in a Northwest Upstate Illini contest on Thursday, October 12.
