The McDowell Trojans (Erie, PA) football held off the visiting Austintown-Fitch Falcons (Youngstown, OH), 38-35 in Friday's non-league test.

The Trojans now hold a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Steubenville for a non-league test on Friday, October 18. McDowell will meet a Big Red squad coming off a 48-14 non-league win over Linsly (Wheeling, WV). The Big Red record now stands at 7-0.

With the defeat, Austintown-Fitch drops to 6-2 on the campaign. The Falcons host Boardman (Youngstown, OH) to meet the Spartans in a All-American test on Friday, October 18.
