The West Jefferson Buccaneers felled the host L.W. Higgins Hurricanes football team by a score of 25-6 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Buccaneers play the East Jefferson Warriors (Metairie, LA) in a 5A District 10 challenge, on Friday, October 18. West Jefferson will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Warriors go into the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 17-7 league win over Bonnabel (Kenner, LA).

The Hurricanes (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Riverdale (Jefferson, LA). The Rebels go into the 5A District 10 challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Riverdale toppled John Ehret (Marrero, LA), 30-27, in a league challenge.
