October 5, 2024: Marrero, LA 70072 The L.W. Higgins Hurricanes felled the visiting Eleanor McMain Mustangs football team by a score of 31-20 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Hurricanes face the West Jefferson Buccaneers (Harvey, LA) in a 5A District 10 challenge, on Friday, October 11. L.W. Higgins will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Buccaneers go into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 12-0 non-league loss to Belle Chasse (Belle Chasse, LA).
The Mustangs (0-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Carver Collegiate Academy (New Orleans, LA). The Rams go into the 4A District 10 challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, Carver Collegiate Academy lost by Booker T. Washington (New Orleans, LA), 46-28, in a non-league challenge.
