In Friday's league match, the host Xenia Buccaneers football squad scored a good 30-8 triumph over the Piqua Indians.

The Buccaneers (8-0) will now prepare for their match against Greenville (Greenville, OH). The Green Wave come into the Miami Valley League match with a 0-8 record. In their last match, Greenville was beaten by Fairborn (Fairborn, OH), 27-0, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Indians meet the Sidney Yellowjackets (Sidney, OH) in a Miami Valley League match, on Friday, October 18. Piqua will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the match with a 4-4 record after their 46-43 league loss to Butler (Vandalia, OH).
