The crowd at Friday's league contest between the West St. John Rams (Edgard, LA) and the host Varnado Wildcats (Angie, LA), witnessed West St. John's football squad topple Varnado by a count of 22-6.

The Rams (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Riverside Academy (Reserve, LA). The Rebels enter the 1A District 10 contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Riverside Academy thwarted St. Martin's Episcopal (Metairie, LA), 76-37, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Wildcats confront the Central Private Redhawks (Baker, LA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, October 17. Varnado will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record.
