New Jersey High School Football - Summit can't hold off Bernards

The Bernards Mountaineers got by the host Summit Hilltoppers football team by a score of 17-14 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Mountaineers play the Governor Livingston Highlanders (Berkeley Heights, NJ) in a non-league test, on Friday, October 17. Bernards will attempt to move on its 7-0 season record. The Highlanders come into the test with a 3-4 record after their 21-14 non-league loss to Voorhees (Glen Gardner, NJ).

With the defeat, Summit drops to 5-2 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers travel to Woodbridge (Woodbridge, NJ) to meet the Barrons in a non-league test on Friday, October 17. The Barrons go into the challenge with a record of 7-0. Woodbridge won 41-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Montgomery (Skillman, NJ)
