The Laurel Spartans (Laurel, MD) football nipped the host DuVal Tigers (Lanham, MD), 29-24 in Saturday's non-league contest.

The Spartans (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Bladensburg (Bladensburg, MD). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 0-6 record. In their last contest, Bladensburg was nudged by Flowers (Springdale, MD), 57-0, in a league contest.
