Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI), 2-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Sentinels face the Chariho Chargers (Wood River Junction, RI) in a Division 2 challenge, on Thursday, October 14. Smithfield will attempt to better on its 8-2 season record. The Chargers enter the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 5-1 league win over St. Raphael Academy (Pawtucket, RI).

The Bulldogs now have a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Toll Gate for a Division 2 challenge on Friday, October 15.
