The First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) volleyball tipped the host Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC), 3-2 in Tuesday's league outing.

With the win, First Flight upgrades its record to 10-7 on the year. The Nighthawks host Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC) to play the Panthers in a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A outing on Thursday, October 14. The Panthers go into the outing with a record of 4-9. Pasquotank County lost 3-0 in their recent league outing against Currituck County (Barco, NC)

The Aces now own a 8-13 record. They play next when they travel to Camden County for a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A outing on Thursday, October 14. Holmes will play a Bruins squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC). The Bruins record now stands at 19-0.
