Texas High School Volleyball - Melissa can't hold off Sanger

In Tuesday's league battle, the visiting Sanger Indians volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Melissa Cardinals.

The Indians (22-12) will now prepare for their battle against Aubrey (Aubrey, TX). The Chaparrals come into the 4A Region II District 9 battle with a 22-8 record. In their last battle, Aubrey nudged Farmersville (Farmersville, TX), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Cardinals clash with the Anna Coyotes (Anna, TX) in a 4A Region II District 9 battle, on Friday, October 15. Melissa will attempt to advance on its 20-14 season record. The Coyotes come into the battle with a 11-19 record after their 3-0 league loss to Celina (Celina, TX).
