October 12, 2023: Sparta, NC 28675 The Alleghany Trojans football team (Sparta, NC), was tipped 14-7 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the visiting Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC)
The Buckin' Elks (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Granite Bears come into the non-league challenge with a 7-0 record. In their last challenge, Mount Airy nipped South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC), 41-6, in a non-league challenge.
The Trojans now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Wilkes for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 19. Alleghany will meet a Cardinals team coming off a 28-14 non-league win over Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-3.
