October 12, 2023: Southport, NC 28461 The South Brunswick Cougars football team (Southport, NC), was beaten 21-12 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the visiting Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC)
The Screaming Eagle (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Topsail (Hampstead, NC). The Pirates come into the non-league challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Topsail was beaten by Hoggard (Wilmington, NC), 38-12, in a non-league challenge.
The Cougars now sport a 0-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hoggard for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 19. South Brunswick will meet a Vikings team coming off a 38-12 non-league win over Topsail (Hampstead, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 6-2.
