October 12, 2023: Gardiner, ME 04345 The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Gardiner Tigers (Gardiner, ME) and the visiting Brunswick Dragons (Brunswick, ME), saw Gardiner's volleyball squad beat Brunswick by a tally of 3-1.
With the win, Gardiner upgrades its record to 9-4 on the year. The Tigers host Washington Academy (East Machias, ME) to play the Raiders in a Class B bout on Saturday, October 14. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 13-0. Washington Academy won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Ellsworth (Ellsworth, ME)
The Dragons now own a 8-5 record. They play next when they travel to Lewiston for a Class A bout on Friday, October 13. Brunswick will play a Blue Devils squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Messalonskee (Oakland, ME). The Blue Devils record now stands at 4-7.
