The St. Mary Cardinals topped the visiting DeSmet Bulldogs volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Cardinals now have a 6-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oldham-Ramona/Rutland for a non-league test on Saturday, October 14. St. Mary will confront a Rutland team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Colman-Egan (Colman, SD). The Rutland record now stands at 8-13.

The Bulldogs (5-16) will now prepare for their test against Iroquois/Lake Preston (Iroquois, SD). The enter the non-league test with a 8-12 record. In their last test, Iroquois/Lake Preston gained a win over Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (Forestburg, SD), 3-1, in a league test.
