Homer Mariners (Homer, AK) followers went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team tip the host Barrow Whalers (Utqiagvik, AK), 6-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Homer advances its record to 4-5 on the season. The Mariners travel to Kenai Central (Kenai, AK) to play the Kardinals in a non-league battle on Saturday, October 19. The Kardinals go into the battle with a record of 5-4. Kenai Central won 27-20 in their recent non-league battle against Redington (Wasilla, AK)

The Whalers now own a 5-3 record.
