Weldon Chargers (Weldon, NC) followers went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC), 52-6 in a league battle.

With the win, Weldon advances its record to 4-2 on the season. The Chargers travel to North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC) to play the Warriors in a Tar Roanoke 1A battle on Friday, October 18. The Warriors go into the battle with a record of 2-5. North Edgecombe lost 40-34 in their recent league battle against Southeast Halifax (Halifax, NC)

The Vikings now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to KIPP Pride for a Tar Roanoke 1A battle on Friday, October 18. Northwest Halifax will play a Pride team coming off a 44-22 league loss to Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC). The Pride record now stands at 3-4.
