The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Weldon Chargers (Weldon, NC) and the host Northampton County Jaguars (Gaston, NC), witnessed Weldon's football squad topple Northampton County by a tally of 34-20.

The Chargers (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC). The Tigers enter the Tar Roanoke 1A contest with a 3-1 record.

Coming up next, the Jaguars confront the KIPP Pride Pride (Gaston, NC) in a Tar Roanoke 1A contest, on Friday, September 27. Northampton County will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record. The Pride enter the contest with a 1-3 record after their 16-12 league win over Southeast Halifax (Halifax, NC).
