Illinois High School Soccer - Waubonsie Valley nudges South Elgin
October 13, 2022: South Elgin, IL 60177 Waubonsie Valley Warriors (Aurora, IL) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host South Elgin Storm (South Elgin, IL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Warriors confront the Naperville North Huskies (Naperville, IL) in a DuPage Valley challenge, on Friday, October 14. Waubonsie Valley will attempt to move on its 8-13 season record. The Huskies enter the challenge with a 13-3 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Downers Grove South (Downers Grove, IL).
The Storm now possess a 3-12 record. They take the field next when they host Huntley for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, October 18. South Elgin will confront a Red Raiders team coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Woodstock North (Woodstock, IL). The Red Raiders record now stands at 13-7.
