Illinois High School Soccer - Waubonsie Valley held off by Aurora East
September 24, 2022: Aurora, IL 60505 The crowd at Saturday's non-league test between the Aurora East Tomcats (Aurora, IL) and the visiting Waubonsie Valley Warriors (Aurora, IL), saw Aurora East's soccer squad get by Waubonsie Valley by a margin of 2-1.
The Tomcats now sport a 9-3 record. They play next when they travel to Bartlett for a Upstate Eight test on Monday, September 26. Aurora East will meet a Hawks squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Elgin (Elgin, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 3-10.
With the loss, Waubonsie Valley falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Neuqua Valley (Naperville, IL) to play the Wildcats in a DuPage Valley outing on Tuesday, September 27. The Wildcats go into the outing with a record of 3-8. Neuqua Valley lost 2-1 in their recent non-league outing against Downers Grove South (Downers Grove, IL)
