October 13, 2023: McDonald, PA 15057 The crowd at Friday's league contest between the South Fayette Lions (McDonald, PA) and the visiting Baldwin Highlanders (Pittsburgh, PA), observed South Fayette's football squad thwart Baldwin by a count of 28-14.
The Lions now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Bethel Park for a WPIAL AAAAA Allegheny Six contest on Friday, October 20. South Fayette will play a Black Hawks squad coming off a 42-34 league loss to Moon Area (Moon Township, PA). The Black Hawks record now stands at 3-5.
The Highlanders (1-7) will now prepare for their match against Mt. Lebanon (Pittsburgh, PA). The Blue Devils enter the non-league match with a 4-4 record. In their last match, Mt. Lebanon dropped by Peters Township (McMurray, PA), 42-0, in a non-league match.
