October 13, 2023: Ottumwa, IA 52501 The Ottumwa Bulldogs football squad scored 52 points and limited the visiting Des Moines East Scarlets to 32 in the Bulldogs non-league win on Friday.
The Bulldogs now possess a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Waterloo West for a 5A Group 4 battle on Friday, October 20. Ottumwa will play a Wahawks squad coming off a 44-0 non-league loss to Liberty (North Liberty, IA). The Wahawks record now stands at 4-4.
Coming up next, the Scarlets play the Roosevelt Roughriders (Des Moines, IA) in a 5A Group 1 battle, on Friday, October 20. Des Moines East will attempt to advance on its 0-8 season record. The Roughriders go into the battle with a 3-5 record after their 42-14 non-league loss to Waukee (Waukee, IA).
