The East Rutherford Cavaliers football squad scored 42 points and restricted the host R-S Central Hilltoppers to 37 in the Cavaliers league victory on Friday.

The Cavaliers now possess a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Polk County for a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills battle on Friday, October 20. East Rutherford will face a Wolverines squad coming off a 70-26 league loss to Chase (Forest City, NC). The Wolverines record now stands at 4-4.

Coming up next, the Hilltoppers face the Cloudland Highlanders (Roan Mountain, TN) in a non-league battle, on Friday, October 20. R-S Central will attempt to advance on its 2-6 season record. The Highlanders enter the battle with a 5-3 record after their 55-14 league win over Cosby (Cosby, TN).
