Mahanoy Area Golden Bears (Mahanoy City, PA) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team nudge the visiting Tri-Valley Bulldogs (Hegins, PA), 27-20 in a league test.

With the win, Mahanoy Area improves its record to 2-7 on the season. The Golden Bears travel to Nativity BVM (Pottsville, PA) to confront the Green Wave in a Colonial-Schuylkill - Blue test on Saturday, October 21. The Green Wave go into the test with a record of 5-3. Nativity BVM won 32-19 in their recent league test against Shenandoah Valley (Shenandoah, PA)

With the loss, Tri-Valley moves to 4-4 on the season. The Bulldogs host Marian Catholic (Tamaqua, PA) to confront the in a Colonial-Schuylkill - Blue test on Friday, October 20. The go into the test with a record of 5-3. Marian Catholic lost 13-6 in their recent league test against Williams Valley (Tower City, PA)
