Pennsylvania High School Soccer - Neshaminy knocks off Harry S. Truman
October 13, 2025: Levittown, PA 19057 In Monday's league outing, the visiting Neshaminy Skins soccer squad scored a nice 8-0 victory over the Harry S. Truman Tigers.
The Skins (12-5) will now prepare for their outing against Villa Joseph Marie (Holland, PA). The Jems go into the non-league outing with a 9-6 record. In their last outing, Villa Joseph Marie prevailed over Merion Mercy Academy (Merion Station, PA), 6-0, in a league outing.
Next up, the Tigers play the Council Rock North Indians (Newtown, PA) in a Suburban One - National outing, on Wednesday, October 15. Harry S. Truman will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record. The Indians come into the test with a 13-2 record after their 1-0 league loss to Pennsbury (Fairless Hills, PA).
Match Summary
On a cold, rainy and windy day, the Neshaminy offense got out to an early lead and made the day drearier for the Truman Tigers, defeating them 8-0. Despite the score and the weather, the Truman girls continued to play hard until the last whistle. Senior goaltender Aubrey Thompson and Sophomore goaltender Dani Gilbert split the game in net, each making double digit saves. Senior captain Grace Darpino played another full game at fullback, easily leading the team in total minutes played for the season. Truman's leading scorer, Sophomore Gwen Marston stepped up and asked to play sweeper. First year player Julianna Romer dropped back to play outside full back for the first. Both girls played 60 minutes on defense and played well.
