In Friday's league match, the host Benjamin Russell Wildcats football squad scored a close 16-14 victory over the Briarwood Christian Lions.

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Helena Huskies (Helena, AL) in a 6A Region 3 match, on Friday, October 21. Benjamin Russell will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Huskies enter the match with a 7-1 record after their 42-14 league win over Calera (Calera, AL).
