In Friday's league battle, the host Sandy Valley Sidewinders volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Indian Springs Thunderbirds.

The Sidewinders (6-5) will now prepare for their battle against Word of Life Christian Academy (Las Vegas, NV). The come into the 1A South battle with a 1-5 record. In their last battle, Word of Life Christian Academy was edged by Amplus Academy (Las Vegas, NV), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
