October 14, 2023: Cresco, IA 52136 The crowd at Saturday's league bout between the Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks (Waverly, IA) and the host Crestwood Cadets (Cresco, IA), saw Waverly-Shell Rock's volleyball squad nip Crestwood by a tally of 2-1.
With the win, Waverly-Shell Rock upgrades its record to 14-26 on the year. The Go-Hawks travel to Charles City (Charles City, IA) to play the Comets in a Northeast Iowa bout on Saturday, October 14. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 27-5. Charles City won 2-0 in their recent league bout against Crestwood (Cresco, IA)
The Cadets now own a 14-15 record. They play next when they host North Fayette Valley for a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 17. Crestwood will play a squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Central (Elkader, IA). The record now stands at 12-9.
