Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Douglas County West Falcon (Valley, NE) and the visiting Fort Calhoun Pioneers (Fort Calhoun, NE), observed Douglas County West's volleyball team top Fort Calhoun by a count of 3-1.

The Falcon (15-11) will now prepare for their battle against Louisville (Louisville, NE). The Lions go into the non-league battle with a 17-8 record. In their last battle, Louisville achieved victory over Syracuse (Syracuse, NE), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

The Pioneers now own a 16-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Syracuse for a non-league contest on Thursday, October 16. Fort Calhoun will battle a Rockets team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Louisville (Louisville, NE). The Rockets record now stands at 12-14.
