The crowd at Saturday's league bout between the Centralia Orphans (Centralia, IL) and the visiting Carbondale Terriers (Carbondale, IL), saw Centralia's volleyball squad beat Carbondale by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Centralia upgrades its record to 23-9 on the year. The Orphans host Althoff Catholic (Belleville, IL) to play the Crusaders in a South Seven bout on Saturday, October 15. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 17-12. Althoff Catholic won 2-0 in their recent league bout against Cahokia (Cahokia, IL)

The Terriers now own a 18-15 record. They play next when they travel to Pinckneyville for a non-league bout on Wednesday, October 19. Carbondale will play a Panthers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Nashville (Nashville, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 19-10.
