Virginia High School Soccer - Blue Ridge knocks off Carlisle
October 15, 2024: Axton, VA 24054 The Blue Ridge Barons (St. George, VA) soccer overwhelmed the host Carlisle Chiefs (Axton, VA), 9-1 in Tuesday's league challenge.
The Barons now hold a 10-2 record. They play next when they travel to Eastern Mennonite for a Blue Ridge Athletic challenge on Thursday, October 17. Blue Ridge will encounter a Flames squad coming off a 0-0 non-league Woodberry Forest (Woodberry Forest, VA). The Flames record now stands at 9-4.
With the loss, Carlisle moves to 3-6 on the year. The Chiefs travel to The Covenant (Charlottesville, VA) to encounter the Eagles in a Blue Ridge Athletic challenge on Friday, October 18. The Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 5-6. The Covenant won 8-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Hargrave Military Academy (Chatham, VA)
