Maryland High School Soccer - Laurel knocks off Douglass
October 15, 2025: Laurel, MD 20707 The Laurel Spartans (Laurel, MD) soccer overwhelmed the visiting Douglass Eagles (Upper Marlboro, MD), 8-0 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
The Spartans now hold a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eleanor Roosevelt for a Prince George's County 4A contest on Thursday, October 16. Laurel will battle a Raiders team coming off a 4-0 league win over High Point (Beltsville, MD). The Raiders record now stands at 7-4.
The Eagles (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Surrattsville (Clinton, MD). The Hornets enter the Class 2A South I contest with a 2-8 record. In their last challenge, Surrattsville was overwhelmed by International High School at Langley Park (Bladensburg, MD), 5-2, in a non-league challenge.
