Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA) supporters left the game in high spirits Monday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA), 3-2 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Maroon Tide clash with the Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) in a Mountain Empire match, on Tuesday, October 17. Galax will attempt to advance on its 9-10 season record. The Blue Devils come into the match with a 10-9 record after their 3-2 league loss to George Wythe (Wytheville, VA).

With the loss, Eastern Montgomery drops to 5-12 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Craig County (New Castle, VA) to clash with the Rockets in a Pioneer match on Tuesday, October 17.
