Massachusetts High School Volleyball - Blackstone-Millville over Douglas
October 16, 2024: Blackstone, MA 01504 In Wednesday's league challenge, the host Blackstone-Millville Chargers volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Douglas Tigers.
The Chargers (5-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Doherty Memorial (Worcester, MA). The Highlanders come into the non-league challenge with a 3-12 record. In their last challenge, Doherty Memorial was beaten by Southbridge (Southbridge, MA), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Tigers meet the North Polar Bears (Worcester, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 18. Douglas will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Polar Bears come into the challenge with a 2-13 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Blackstone-Millville (Blackstone, MA).
Match Summary
This game match up seemed very even all through the sets but BMR capitalized on Douglas's mistakes. BMR made fewer mistakes and were powerful behind the service line catching 23 serving aces collectively. Caroline Tarnuzzer and Kayla Niemczyk both gathered double doubles. Kayla for assists and digs and Caroline with kills and digs. It was great to see BMR perform (89 serving percentage collectively). Great Job!!
