The Saraland Spartans football squad scored 55 points and limited the visiting Murphy Panthers to 0 in the Spartans league triumph on Thursday.

The Spartans now hold a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they host Theodore for a 6A Region 1 test on Friday, October 24. Saraland will meet a Bobcats squad coming off a 20-14 league win over Gulf Shores (Gulf Shores, AL). The Bobcats record now stands at 6-2.

With the defeat, Murphy drops to 0-9 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Gulf Shores (Gulf Shores, AL) to clash with the Dolphins in a 6A Region 1 test on Friday, October 31. The Dolphins come into the test with a record of 3-5.
