The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the Desert Vista Thunder (Phoenix, AZ) and the visiting Sunnyside Blue Devils (Tucson, AZ), witnessed Desert Vista's flag football squad knock off Sunnyside by a tally of 23-14.

The Thunder (5-2) will now prepare for their bout against Mountain Pointe (Phoenix, AZ). The Pride go into the non-league bout with a 4-3 record. In their last bout, Mountain Pointe was topped by Campo Verde (Gilbert, AZ), 37-0, in a league bout.

The Blue Devils now own a 6-1 record. They play next when they travel to Millennium for a 6A Central bout on Tuesday, October 21. Sunnyside will encounter a Tigers team coming off a 31-0 league loss to Corona del Sol (Tempe, AZ). The Tigers record now stands at 0-8.
