October 16, 2025: Thomasville, NC 27360 The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Providence Grove Patriots (Franklinville, NC) and the host East Davidson Golden Eagles (Thomasville, NC), witnessed Providence Grove's football squad edge East Davidson by a tally of 14-8.
The Patriots (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Wheatmore (Trinity, NC). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Wheatmore was nudged by West Davidson (Lexington, NC), 34-8, in a non-league contest.
Next up, the Golden Eagles encounter the West Davidson Dragons (Lexington, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, October 30. East Davidson will attempt to advance on its 2-6 season record.
