Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Seward Bluejays (Seward, NE) and the host Crete Cardinals (Crete, NE), observed Seward's volleyball team top Crete by a count of 2-0.

The Bluejays (17-11) will now prepare for their contest against York (York, NE). The Dukes enter the non-league contest with a 13-15 record. In their last contest, York achieved victory over Lakeview (Columbus, NE), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

The Cardinals now own a 7-20 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lexington for a non-league battle on Saturday, October 18. Crete will encounter a Minutemen squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to York (York, NE). The Minutemen record now stands at 9-18.
