The La Joya Community Fighting Lobos were victorious over the host Independence Patriots volleyball team by a margin of 3-0 in Thursday's league outing.

The Fighting Lobos now possess a 11-7 record. They play next when they travel to Marana for a non-league outing on Friday, October 17. La Joya Community will play a Tigers team coming off a 3-0 league win over Tucson High Magnet School (Tucson, AZ). The Tigers record now stands at 16-9.

With the defeat, Independence moves to 6-19 on the season. The Patriots travel to Apollo (Glendale, AZ) to confront the Hawks in a non-league game on Monday, October 20. The Hawks go into the game with a record of 4-10.
