West Virginia High School Volleyball - Preston University

October 16, 2025: Morgantown, WV 26508

The University Hawks prevailed the visiting Preston Knights volleyball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Thursday's non-league game.

Next up, the Hawks confront the James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, October 18. University will attempt to better on its 22-8 season record. The Mavericks come into the bout with a 27-8 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Gilmer County (Glenville, WV).

With the loss, Preston drops to 13-25 on the campaign. The Knights host Buckhannon-Upshur (Buckhannon, WV) to clash with the Buccaneers in a Big Ten bout on Saturday, October 18. The Buccaneers come into the bout with a record of 14-15. Buckhannon-Upshur lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Parkersburg (Parkersburg, WV)
