California High School Volleyball - Mount Miguel routed by Steele Canyon
October 17, 2022: Spring Valley, CA 91977 The Mount Miguel Matadors volleyball team (Spring Valley, CA), went down 3-0 in Monday's league challenge with the visiting Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA)
The Cougars (8-19) will now prepare for their challenge against Grossmont (El Cajon, CA). The Foothillers enter the Grossmont Valley challenge with a 10-10 record. In their last challenge, Grossmont defeated Monte Vista (Spring Valley, CA), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Matadors encounter the Lincoln Hornets (San Diego, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 20. Mount Miguel will attempt to move on its 2-15 season record. The Hornets enter the challenge with a 3-20 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Bayfront Charter (Chula Vista, CA).

This was a great night for the Mt. Miguel seniors as Steele Canyon helped them celebrate their seniors. Brookelyn Isackson lead the way with 11 kills and 3 aces. Faith Manis pitched in 8 big kills on only 11 attacks and Chancey Lewis and Katrina Stock had 13 and 11 assists.
