In Tuesday's league contest, the Saint Gertrude Gators (Richmond, VA) volleyball squad nudged the visiting Trinity Episcopal Titans (Richmond, VA), by a margin of 3-2.

Next up, the Gators face the St. Margaret's Scotties (Tappahannock, VA) in a VISAA Independent Schools contest, on Friday, October 20. Saint Gertrude will attempt to better on its 12-3 season record. The Scotties go into the contest with a 0-13 record after their 3-0 league loss to St. Catherine's (Richmond, VA).

With the loss, Trinity Episcopal moves to 6-10 on the year. The Titans host Covenant (Charlottesville, VA) to face the Eagles in a non-league contest on Thursday, October 19.
