In Thursday's league challenge, the host Western Branch Bruins volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Nansemond River Warriors.

The Bruins (9-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Indian River (Chesapeake, VA). The Braves enter the Southeastern challenge with a 13-5 record. In their last challenge, Indian River was beaten by Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA), 3-0, in a league challenge.
