California High School Football - Archbishop Mitty nudges Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory

In Friday's league match, the host Archbishop Mitty Monarchs football squad scored a close 27-20 triumph over the Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish.

With the win, Archbishop Mitty advances its record to 5-2 on the season. The Monarchs host Junipero Serra (San Mateo, CA) to play the Padres in a West Catholic battle on Friday, October 24. The Padres go into the battle with a record of 4-3. Junipero Serra won 41-28 in their recent league battle against Saint Francis (Mountain View, CA)

The Fightin' Irish now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Valley Christian for a West Catholic match on Saturday, October 25. Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 49-10 league loss to Archbishop Riordan (San Francisco, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 3-4.
