In Friday's league outing, the Athens Bulldogs (The Plains, OH) football squad knocked off the host River Valley Raiders (Bidwell, OH), by a margin of 47-19.

The Bulldogs now sport a 9-0 record. They take the field next when they host Nelsonville-York for a Tri-Valley - Ohio outing on Friday, October 24. Athens will clash with a Buckeyes squad coming off a 54-12 league win over Vinton County (McArthur, OH). The Buckeyes record now stands at 9-0.

With the defeat, River Valley drops to 1-8 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Fayetteville-Perry (Fayetteville, OH) to clash with the Rockets in a non-league outing on Friday, October 24. The Rockets come into the outing with a record of 1-7. Fayetteville-Perry lost 49-6 in their recent league game against Clermont Northeastern (Batavia, OH)
